ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੇ ‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਅਤਿਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ’ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੂ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿਖਾਈ।
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ। ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਗਾਮ ਅਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਅਤੇ ‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ’ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਤਿਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਨੇ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਜੰਗਬੰਦੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “9 ਮਈ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਉਪ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਜੇਡੀ ਵੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਬਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਫੋਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਕਿਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਤੋਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ।”
ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਸਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੇ ‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਏਅਰਬੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ‘ਆਈਸੀਯੂ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। 22 ਅਪਰੈਲ ਦੇ ਅਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਘਾੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਉੱਡ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਪਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ।”
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੂ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੂ ਬਲੈਕਮੇਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਝੁਕਾਂਗੇ।” ਭਾਰਤ ’ਚ ਬਣੇ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਲ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “‘ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ’ ਨੇ ਆਤਮ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਈ। 22 ਅਪਰੈਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਗਾਮ ਹਮਲੇ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ 22 ਮਿੰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।”
ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ’ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਜਲ ਸੰਧੀ ਅਤੇ 2008 ਦੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਅਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਕਬੂਜ਼ਾ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ (ਪੀਓਕੇ) ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁਆਉਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅੱਜ ਪੀਓਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਖੇਤਰ ’ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Lok Sabha, clarified that no international leader asked India to stop ‘Operation Sindhur’ in response to the Pulwama attack. He expressed regret that while the world supported India’s fight against terrorism, the Congress party and its allies failed to stand behind the Indian military’s bravery. During a Lok Sabha discussion on the Pulwama attack and ‘Operation Sindhur,’ Modi responded to opposition questions, stating that no country could stop India from taking action against terrorism.
The opposition repeatedly asked why U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Modi revealed, “On the night of May 9, U.S. Vice President JD Vance tried to contact me three or four times, but I was busy in meetings with the armed forces. When I called back, he warned me of a major attack by Pakistan. I told him that if Pakistan attacks India, our response would be far bigger, as we would answer bullets with cannons.”
Modi informed the Lok Sabha that no international leader demanded India halt ‘Operation Sindhur.’ He said the Indian military’s attack destroyed Pakistan’s airbase, leaving it in ‘ICU,’ and the conspirators of the April 22 terrorist attack lost their sleep. Modi added, “India received support from the entire world, but sadly, Congress did not back our soldiers’ bravery. Congress leaders targeted me for political gains, but their statements demoralized our soldiers.”
He further stated that India exposed Pakistan’s nuclear threat, declaring to the world, “We will not bow to nuclear blackmail.” India’s domestically developed drones and missiles exposed the weaknesses of Pakistani weapons. Modi said, “‘Operation Sindhur’ showcased the strength of a self-reliant India. To avenge the April 22 Pulwama attack, we entered Pakistan within 22 minutes and destroyed terrorist hideouts.”
Modi accused Congress of compromising national security during the Sindhu Jal Sandhi and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Addressing allegations of missing the opportunity to reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), he said, “Those questioning why PoK was not reclaimed must first answer who allowed Pakistan to occupy that region during their government’s tenure.”
