ਜਯੋਤਿਰਮੱਠ ’ਚ ਨਿਹੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਝੜਪ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ, ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ
ਜਯੋਤਿਰਮੱਠ ਨੇੜੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹੇਮਕੁੰਟ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ’ਤੇ ਆਏ ਸੱਤ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਝੜਪ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਵਾਦ ਸਕੂਟਰ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੋ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਝੜਪ ’ਚ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਧਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਦੇ ਜਯੋਤਿਰਮੱਠ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਝੜਪ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਤ ਨਿਹੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਝਗੜੇ ’ਚ ਦਖਲ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਯੋਤਿਰਮੱਠ ਨੇੜੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹੇਮਕੁੰਟ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਨਿਹੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੰਘੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਕੂਟਰ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਬਹਿਸ ਵਧਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਿਹੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ, ਤਾਂ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਫ਼ਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਪਰ ਥਾਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਥਾਣੇ ’ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਨਿਹੰਗ ਯਾਤਰੂਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਿਰਪਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਬਹਿਸ ਝੜਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਗਈ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀ ਦਖਲਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਨੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਬ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ’ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਿਆ ਸੰਹਿਤਾ (ਬੀਐੱਨਐੱਸ) ਦੀਆਂ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ 109(1) (ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼), 191(2) (ਦੰਗਾ ਕਰਨਾ), 193(3), 352 ਅਤੇ 351(3) ਤਹਿਤ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸੈਕੰਡ, ਬਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗਰਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਲਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਧਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
In Jyotirmath, Uttarakhand, a violent clash between Nihang Sikhs and a local businessman led to the arrest of seven Nihangs, escalating concerns about national security. Authorities reported that the accused attacked a police officer attempting to intervene in the dispute with sharp weapons, resulting in the officer being injured.
According to officials, the Nihangs, who were visiting Jyotirmath for the Hemkunt Sahib pilgrimage, got into a dispute with a local businessman over removing a scooter. The argument escalated, and the Nihangs attacked the businessman with swords, though he was safely rescued. When police arrived at the scene, the accused fled but were apprehended near the police station.
During the incident, a large number of local businessmen gathered at the police station. The situation worsened as the Nihang pilgrims were carrying several sharp weapons, beyond the traditional kirpans, including kulhars, double-edged swords, knives, and axes. The heated argument between the two sides turned into a violent clash. During the police intervention, a Nihang named Amritpal Singh attacked a senior sub-inspector on the head with a sharp weapon, causing injury.
The police stated that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 109(1) (attempt to murder), 191(2) (rioting), 193(3), 352, and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS). The arrested individuals have been identified as Amritpal Singh, Harpreet Second, Binder Singh, Garja Singh, Harjot Singh, and Bhola Singh, all residents of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Authorities confirmed that further investigation into the Jyotirmath clash is ongoing, with increased security measures to control the situation.
