ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਸਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ
The Punjab government has decided not to extend the National Security Act (NSA) imposed on seven associates of Khadoor Sahib Member of Parliament and 'Waris Punjab De' chief, Amritpal Singh. These associates are currently incarcerated in Assam's Dibrugarh jail. DGP Gaurav Yadav has confirmed that the process to bring these individuals back to Punjab has been initiated.
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਖਡੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ 'ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ' ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕੌਮੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ (ਐਨਐੱਸਏ) ਦੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਸਾਮ ਦੀ ਡਿਬਰੂਗੜ੍ਹ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ। ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਆਈਜੀ ਸਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸਾਮ ਦੀ ਡਿਬਰੂਗੜ੍ਹ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਥੀ ਹਨ: ਬਸੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜੇਕੇ, ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ਼ ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਲਸੀ, ਗੁਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੀ ਔਜਲਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਚਾਚਾ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਰਾਂਜ਼ਿਟ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਨਾਲਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਥਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਫਰਵਰੀ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਨਾਲਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਥਾਣੇ 'ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਇਹ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
