ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਦੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਜੈਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਦੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਟੋਕਰੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੇ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 30 ਜੂਨ ਤੱਕ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ’ਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਥਿਤ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਇੱਕ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੈਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ-ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਯਾਦਵ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਨੇਵੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟੋਰੇਟ ਆਫ਼ ਡੌਕਯਾਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਪਰ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਕਲਰਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ (ਸੀਆਈਡੀ-ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ) ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਤ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਯਾਦਵ, ਜੋ ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਰੇਵਾੜੀ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਨੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨਿਕਲੀ। ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਭਗ 2 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 50,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਟੋਕਰੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਸੁਦੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਤਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਖੂਫੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਿਆ। ਇਸ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰਾਗ ਨੇ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦਵ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ’ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁਖਤਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਖੂਫੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦੇ ਹੈਂਡਲਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਭੇਜੀ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਮਿਲੇ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਦੀ ਫੋਰੈਂਸਿਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ, ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼, ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹੈਂਡਲਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਡੇਟਾ ਦੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ। ਜਾਂਚ ਅਜੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਟੋਕਰੰਸੀ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

An Indian Navy employee stationed at the Navy headquarters in Delhi has been arrested in Jaipur for allegedly leaking sensitive defense information, including details of Operation Sindhur, to a Pakistani handler in exchange for money. The employee, Vishal Yadav, worked as an Upper Division Clerk in the Directorate of Dockyard at the Navy Building. He is accused of sharing sensitive information related to Operation Sindhur with the handler.
Inspector General of Police (CID-Security) Vishnu Kant Gupta stated that Vishal Yadav, a resident of Rewari, Haryana, leaked the sensitive information to a female Pakistani handler who misrepresented herself as an Indian. Gupta said, “Yadav confessed to receiving approximately 2 lakh rupees for leaking the sensitive information, including 50,000 rupees specifically for Operation Sindhur details.” He added that some payments were made through cryptocurrency, raising concerns about national security.
Special Public Prosecutor Sudesh Kumar Satwan revealed that intelligence agencies identified Yadav during the investigation of an old espionage case, which led them to him. The agencies placed him under surveillance, and after confirming that he had sent sensitive defense information to Pakistani intelligence handlers, he was interrogated. Yadav was arrested after sensitive documents were found on his mobile phone.
The police reported that forensic investigation of Yadav’s mobile phone uncovered extensive evidence, including financial transactions, sensitive messages, and defense data shared with the Pakistani handler. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining Yadav’s cryptocurrency transactions and his contacts to uncover any further espionage activities.
Following his arrest, Vishal Yadav was presented in court and sent to police custody until June 30. This incident highlights the critical need to strengthen the internal security systems of the Indian Navy and safeguard national security against such breaches.
