ਗੋਲਡੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਦਾ ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ’ਚ ਦਾਅਵਾ: ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿਚ
ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਦੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਗੋਲਡੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਵਰਲਡ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਗਾਇਕ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਸਤਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਲਡੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ, ਜੋ ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਦੇ ਦਤਾਰਾਂਵਾਲੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਹੈ। ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗੁੱਡ ਮਾਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਡ ਨਾਈਟ ਦੇ ਸੁਨੇਹੇ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗੋਮਾਜਰਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਣਾਅ ਵਧਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਦਾਇਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ’ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਗੋਲਡੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ, ਪੈਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਰਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੋਲੀ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।” ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਵਿੱਕੀ ਮਿੱਡੂਖੇੜਾ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਯੂਥ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 7 ਅਗਸਤ, 2021 ਨੂੰ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿੱਕੀ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਰਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਲਈ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ’ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ।”
ਇਸ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਲਡੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਗੋਲਡੀ, ਜੋ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਦਾ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਏਐੱਸਆਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੰਗਠਨ (SOPU) ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਬਣੇ।
The BBC World Service released a documentary about the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, featuring a shocking claim by gangster Satinderjeet Singh, known as Goldie Brar. In an interview, Goldie Brar alleged that Sidhu Moosewala was in contact with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a resident of Dataranwali village in Fazilka, who is currently incarcerated in a high-security jail. Goldie claimed that Sidhu Moosewala sent "good morning" and "good night" messages to Lawrence Bishnoi to gain his favor, highlighting their alleged connection.
Goldie Brar further accused Sidhu Moosewala of supporting their rivals during a kabaddi tournament in Bhagomajra village, which led to tensions with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Moosewala family has rejected the BBC documentary as false, with Sidhu’s father filing a petition in the Mansa court to block its release. Goldie Brar justified the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, stating that the singer used his political influence, money, and resources to aid those who harmed his associates. He said, “The legal system failed to deliver justice, so we took matters into our own hands. When the system fails, the sound of bullets is heard.”
Goldie also referenced Vicky Middukhera, a Youth Akali Dal leader murdered in Mohali on August 7, 2021. He claimed that Middukhera’s brother, a politician, tried to seek justice legally but failed, prompting Goldie to take action for his “brother.” He expressed pride in his actions, stating he had no regrets. Middukhera, once a close associate of both Goldie and Lawrence, had helped Lawrence become the president of SOPU at DAV College, Chandigarh.
The interview has raised questions about the functioning of Punjab police and central agencies, which claim to be unaware of Goldie Brar’s whereabouts despite his open media interviews. Goldie, a Muktsar resident and son of a retired ASI, was previously part of the Punjab University student organization SOPU, where he met Lawrence Bishnoi. Both later became prominent figures in Punjab’s gangster network.
