ਬਟਾਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਢਾਹੀ ਗਈ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ, ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਸੁਹੇਲ ਕਾਸਿਮ ਮੀਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀਐੱਸ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਤਿੰਨ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ, ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਕੈਂਪ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਸੁਹੇਲ ਕਾਸਿਮ ਮੀਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀਐੱਸ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਤਿੰਨ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਬਟਾਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ। ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ, ਡੀਐੱਸਪੀ (ਐੱਚ) ਤੇਜਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੁਰਾਇਆ, ਡੀਐੱਸਪੀ ਨਾਰਕੋਟਿਕ ਸੈੱਲ ਹਰੀਸ਼ ਬਹਿਲ, ਐੱਸਐੱਚਓਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੈ।
Under the 'War Against Drugs' campaign by the Punjab government, the police today demolished the mansion of drug trafficker Jeevan Kumar in the Gandhi Camp area of Batala. Batala SSP Suhail Qasim Mir informed that Jeevan Kumar has three cases registered against him under the NDPS Act in various police stations. He warned drug traffickers that anyone involved in illegal activities will not be spared. This campaign will continue until those involved in the drug trade in Batala reintegrate into the mainstream. According to sources, the police have identified properties of other drug traffickers in different localities of Batala, which are slated for demolition in the coming days.
Present at the scene were DSP (H) Tejinderpal Singh Guraia, DSP Narcotics Cell Harish Behl, SHOs, and other senior police officials. This is the first operation of its kind against drug traffickers in the border district of Gurdaspur.
