ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ: ਆਪ ਨੇ ਸਾਖ ਬਚਾਈ, ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ 12,091 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਤੂ
ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ 12,091 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੂਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੇ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਆਪ) ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 42,649 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ 12,091 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 30,558 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ। ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਥਕ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਸੀ, 19,620 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੁਰਜ ਨੂੰ 15,078 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ 6,239 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੇ। ਨੀਟੂ ਸ਼ਟਰਾਂਵਾਲਾ ਨੂੰ 464 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ।
ਆਪ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ 14ਵੇਂ ਗੇੜ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਸੁਪਰੀਮੋ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੈ।
ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਮਾਈ ਭਾਗੋ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ ਨਰਸਿੰਗ, ਪਿੱਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵੇਰੇ 8 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ। ਕੁੱਲ 15 ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 60.95 ਫੀਸਦ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਗਿਣਤੀ 16 ਗੇੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਸੀਟ ਆਪ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੋਹਲ ਦੀ ਜੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰਚ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੱਤਵੀਂ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਸੀ। ਆਪ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਛੇ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੰਗੜੇ ਪਾਏ, ਲੱਡੂ ਵੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਫਤਹਿ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
In the Tarn Taran Assembly constituency bypoll, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu has secured a major victory. He received 42,649 votes and defeated Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sukhwinder Kaur by a margin of 12,091 votes. The Akali candidate got 30,558 votes. Independent candidate Mandeep Singh Khalsa, supported by Waris Punjab De and other Panthic groups, came third with 19,620 votes. Congress candidate Karnbir Singh Burj got 15,078 votes and BJP's Harjit Singh Sandhu finished fifth with 6,239 votes. Neetu Shutteranwala got 464 votes.
AAP workers started celebrating the victory after the 14th round of counting. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann congratulated and said this victory proves that the people of Punjab like politics of work. AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal also called the win historic and said the people of Punjab are happy with AAP's work and prefer Bhagwant Mann's leadership. This is a victory of the people and hardworking workers.
Vote counting began at 8 AM at Mai Bhago International College of Nursing, Piddi. There were a total of 15 candidates in the fray. Polling on Tuesday recorded 60.95 percent turnout. Counting was completed in 16 rounds. The deposits of Congress and BJP candidates were forfeited.
The Tarn Taran seat fell vacant due to the death of AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal in June. This was the seventh bypoll in Punjab since March 2022. AAP has now won five out of six bypolls.
Celebrations were also held at the AAP office in Chandigarh. Workers danced bhangra, distributed laddoos, and burst firecrackers. Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal thanked the voters and called the result a moral victory.
