ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਸੂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਟਿਊਬਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ, ਜੋਤੀ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਲਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਯੂਟਿਊਬਰ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਸੂਸੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੇ ISI ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਜੋਤੀ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਸੂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ 'ਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਲਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ 'ਜਾਨ ਮਹਲ' ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਸੂਸੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੇ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੇ 11 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਬਸਕ੍ਰਾਈਬਰ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਫ਼ੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀ ISI ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ 'ਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੇ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਾਨਿਕ ਉਪਕਰਨਾਂ 'ਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਨੰਬਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਯੂਟਿਊਬਰ ਜੋਤੀ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਨੇੜੀਕਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਸੂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸੰਪਰਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ 'ਚ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ 'ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਿਆਯ ਸੰਹਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਿਕ ਰਾਜ ਭੇਦ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Jasbir Singh, a resident of Mahlan village in Rupnagar district, Punjab, and the owner of the popular YouTube channel 'Jaan Mahal' with over 1.1 million subscribers, has been arrested by the Punjab Police on charges of espionage for Pakistan. According to the police, Singh had established contacts with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI and had traveled to Pakistan three times in recent years. Investigations have revealed that his electronic devices contained multiple Pakistani contacts, which are currently under forensic examination.
Singh was also closely associated with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was previously arrested on similar espionage charges. Both were reportedly seen together at an event at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, where they interacted with Pakistani military officials. Following Malhotra's arrest, Singh attempted to erase evidence of his communications with Pakistani contacts.
A Mohali court has remanded Singh to three days of police custody. He has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Official Secrets Act. The police investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the espionage network and identify other individuals involved.
