ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਦੀਆਂ ਰੋਡ ’ਤੇ ਬੀਤੀ ਰਾਤ ਦੋ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਸਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਜੱਗੂ ਭਗਵਾਨਪੁਰੀਆ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ’ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਮ ਤੋੜਿਆ। ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਡੋਨੀ ਬੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਇਸ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਹੈ।

ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਕਾਰਪੀਓ ਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਸਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਕਾਰ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਦੀ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਡੀਐੱਸਪੀ ਪਰਮਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸੀਸੀਟੀਵੀ ਫੁਟੇਜ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਅੱਜ ਬਟਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਡੋਨੀ ਬੱਲ, ਬਿੱਲਾ ਮਾਂਗਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਸੂਵਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ, “ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਗੂ ਭਗਵਾਨਪੁਰੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਭਾਲਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਗੋੜੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਗੋਰੇ ਬਰਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।” ਪੋਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੀ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ।”

A tragic incident occurred last night on Kadian Road in Batala, where two motorcycle-borne assailants carried out a deadly shooting, resulting in the murder of Harjeet Kaur, the mother of notorious gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, and her relative, Karanbir Singh. Harjeet Kaur, a resident of Bhagwanpur village, was traveling in a Scorpio car when the attack took place in the Civil Lines area, captured by CCTV footage.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred on Thursday night when Harjeet Kaur and Karanbir Singh were in their vehicle. Unknown attackers on motorcycles opened fire, leading to the immediate death of Karanbir Singh, who was driving the car. Harjeet Kaur, seriously injured in the shooting, was rushed to a private hospital in Amritsar, but she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Batala’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Paramvir Singh, stated, “The investigation into this gangster-related murder has begun. We are reviewing CCTV footage and making every effort to apprehend the assailants responsible for this shooting.” He added that Karanbir Singh was declared dead at Batala’s Civil Hospital. The attackers fled the scene after the shooting, and police are actively pursuing them.
Sources confirm that the postmortem of Harjeet Kaur and Karanbir Singh will be conducted today at Batala’s Civil Hospital under police supervision. Meanwhile, gangsters Doni Bal, Billa Manga, Prabh Dasuwal, and Kaushal Chaudhary claimed responsibility for the murder through a social media post. They wrote, “Karanbir Singh managed all of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s operations and handled his fugitive associates and weapons. We killed Karanbir to avenge the murder of our brother, Gore Briar.” The post further stated, “We carried out a justified killing today, and if anyone unjustly kills our brother, we will continue to seek revenge.”
This shocking murder has caused widespread concern in the region, with fears growing over gangster activities and public safety. The police have intensified their investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
