ਹਾਂਗ ਕਾਂਗ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ 128 ਜਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ, 200 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ!

This is an extremely sad incident where a large Housing Complex in the Tai Po District suburb of the New Territories, Hong Kong, caught fire, leading to the loss of 128 lives. This tragedy has shaken the entire community, as 200 people are still Missing and the search for them continues. Amidst this terrible accident, we are saddened to note that a 37-year-old brave Fire Fighter is also among the deceased, who sacrificed his life while performing his duty—a true example of bravery, service, and Bonding with the community.
This Housing Complex comprised eight buildings, housing nearly 4,800 residents in about 2,000 apartments, including many elderly individuals. Authorities immediately launched an Investigation and eight people have been detained. Investigators will examine whether the materials used on the exterior walls of the high-rise buildings met all Fire Safetystandards, as the rapid spread of the fire is a matter of concern. Officials reported that the fire originated on the external scaffolding of a 32-story tower and then quickly spread inside the building and to nearby structures due to high winds. The Fire Fighting crews deployed over 140 Fire Trucks and more than 60 ambulances, putting in maximum effort to save lives.
In this difficult time, district officials, demonstrating human Love, have opened Temporary Shelters (ਰੈਣ ਬਸੇਰੇ) for those Homeless (ਘਰੋਂ ਬੇਘਰ) by the fire, ensuring the Community can support each other. This tragedy reminds us of a previous fire in November 1996 in Kowloon, where a commercial building fire claimed 41 lives and took 20 hours to control. At this moment, it is essential that everyone supports one another and remains completely Positive and vigilant towards Building Safety to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
