ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ
ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ SGPC ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ SGPC ਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਹੋਈ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵੀ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਾਇਆ। ਜਾਂਚ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ’ਤੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ (SGPC) ਦੀ ਅੰਤ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ SGPC ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ’ਤੇ SGPC ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੜੈਨ, ਅਮਰੀਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਾਹਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਏਪੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਾਈ। ਜਾਂਚ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ’ਤੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਣ ’ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਹੋਰ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੰਧ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਟਾਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 2 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ, ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਗਏ।
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has removed Giani Harpreet Singh from the position of Jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib in a recent internal meeting. Giani Jagtar Singh has been appointed as the acting Jathedar in his place.
The SGPC meeting, chaired by President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, faced opposition from three members—Jaswant Singh Pudian, Amrik Singh Shahpur, and Paramjit Singh Raypur—who officially recorded their objections. The decision was based on an investigative report confirming allegations against Giani Harpreet Singh.
Among other resolutions, financial aid of ₹2 lakh was announced for the family of Satnam Singh, who passed away while performing Nishan Sahib seva at Gurdwara Kandh Sahib, Batala. Various other matters related to gurdwaras, educational institutions, and SGPC operations were also discussed.
