ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਲਈ '500 ਕਰੋੜ' ਦੀ ਅਟੈਚੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ: ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ
ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਹਲਚਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ '500 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ' ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਸੂਟਕੇਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਐਲਾਨਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ 'ਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਆਈ ਹੈ।
ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਬਣੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਨਸਨੀਖੇਜ਼ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਲਈ "500 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ" ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਸੂਟਕੇਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ, ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ, ਇਹ ਰਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ 'ਸੁਨਹਿਰਾ ਸੂਬਾ' (Golden State) ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਚੰਦ ਕਟਾਰੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗੜਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਈਕਮਾਂਡ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚਿਹਰਾ (CM Face) ਐਲਾਨਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਾਰੀ ਧੜੇਬੰਦੀ (Infighting) ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ, ਅਤੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ 'ਪੰਜ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚਿਹਰੇ' ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
ਸਿੱਧੂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਬਕਾ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੁਖਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੰਧਾਵਾ ਨੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਕ੍ਰਿਪਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਆਪ) ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਭਾਜਪਾ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ 'ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਬੈਗ' ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ 'ਬਦਸੂਰਤ ਸੱਚ' ਜੱਗ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu and a former MLA, has ignited a major political controversy in Punjab Politics by leveling a sensational charge against the process of becoming the Punjab Chief Minister. She alleged that one needs to offer a suitcase filled with "500 Crore Rupees" to secure the CM's chair in the state. Navjot Kaur Sidhu stressed that her husband, Navjot Singh Sidhu, cannot pay this amount, although he possesses the capability to transform Punjab into a 'Golden State.'
She made this statement while talking to reporters on Saturday evening after meeting Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Navjot Kaur Sidhu clearly stated that Navjot Singh Sidhu would return to active politics only if the Congress Party High Command declares him as the Chief Ministerial CM Face for the upcoming elections.
She pointed to severe Infighting within the Congress Party, claiming that there are already 'five Chief Ministerial faces' present in the party who are busy undermining each other and working to defeat the party, which is why they will not allow Navjot Singh Sidhu to move forward.
The statement by the Sidhu family has drawn sharp reactions even from within the Congress. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa severely criticized the remarks, suggesting the Sidhu family should be "shown the door" and alleging they operate according to a script prepared by the opposition. He claimed that Navjot Singh Sidhuhas previously caused harm to the Congress and is now "stabbing the party in the back." Conversely, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) condemned the Congress, stating that Navjot Kaur Sidhu has exposed the "ugly truth" of 'money bag' politics operating within the party.
