ਵਾਰਾਣਸੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੰਡੀਗੋ ਉਡਾਣ 'ਤੇ ਬੰਬ ਦੀ ਝੂਠੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਜਾਂਚ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਧਮਾਕਾਖੇਜ਼ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਯਾਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ 'ਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਰਾਨਸੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਨਿੱਚਰਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਬੰਗਲੂਰੂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਇੰਡੀਗੋ ਉਡਾਣ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਬੰਬ ਹੈ। Radio Haanji ਦੇ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਬੰਬ ਦੀ ਧਮਕੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਦੂਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇੰਡੀਗੋ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਸ ਦੇ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਫੌਰਨ ਏਅਰ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ (ATC) ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋਕੋਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਾਊਂਡ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਬੰਬ ਸਕੁਐਡ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਧਮਾਕਾਕਾਰੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਜਾਂਚ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਬੰਗਲੂਰੂ ਵੱਲ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
On Saturday night, panic spread at Varanasi Airport when a foreign national traveling on an Indigo flight bound for Bengaluru claimed he was carrying a bomb. Tthe passenger, a Canadian citizen, was immediately taken into custody by security agencies.
Puneet Gupta, Director of Varanasi Airport, stated that following the bomb threat, the aircraft was moved to a remote location for investigation. The Indigo crew promptly informed Air Traffic Control (ATC), and following standard security protocol, the flight was grounded for thorough inspection.
A bomb squad and security agencies conducted an intensive search, but no explosive device was found. After clearance from authorities, the flight resumed its journey to Bengaluru on Sunday morning.
The legal proceedings against the Canadian national have been initiated, and further investigations are ongoing.
