PSEB ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਫੈਸਲਾ: ਹੁਣ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪੜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ 'ਊੜਾ-ਆੜਾ'
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਬੋਰਡ (PSEB) ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਪਹਿਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਾਠ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਰਣਮਾਲਾ (ਊੜਾ-ਆੜਾ) ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਬੋਰਡ (PSEB) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਾਠ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਰਣਮਾਲਾ (ਊੜਾ-ਆੜਾ) ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਕਸਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ।
ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਤਹਿਤ, ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਜਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਪੰਨਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਰਣਮਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਸਾਂਝ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਫਾਇਦੇਮੰਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਅਹਿਮੀਅਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਬੋਰਡ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਵੀਂ ਨੀਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅੱਖਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਧੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਉਚਾਈ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਬੋਰਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਵੀਂਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਾਪਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਗਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਲੈ ਸਕਣ।
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has taken a highly commendable and historic decision to deepen the roots of the Punjabi mother tongue. The board has formulated a plan to specially include the Punjabi Alphabet (Ura-Aida) in the textbooks of English and Hindi subjects. The main objective of this effort is to foster love and respect for their mother tongue in the minds of students, ensuring they do not remain deprived of the knowledge of Punjabi characters while learning other languages.
Under this new reform, when students study their English or Hindi books, they will find the characters of the Punjabi alphabet on the introductory pages. Education experts believe that this will further strengthen the linguistic bonding among children and allow them to feel an unbreakable emotional connection with their mother tongue. This decision will be highly beneficial for schools where more importance was previously given to other languages compared to Punjabi.
This decision by the board is being praised everywhere. The Punjab School Education Board is continuously striving to promote the Punjabi language in the academic field. This new policy will not only increase students' alphabetical knowledge but also give a new height to the pride of the Punjabi language. The board will soon begin the process of printing and distributing these new books to schools so that students can benefit from them starting from the next academic session.
