ਗਰੈਂਡ ਟਰੈਵਰਸ ਕਾਊਂਟੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੈਰਿਫ ਮਾਈਕਲ ਸ਼ੀਆ ਨੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਚਾਕੂਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 11 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਔਨਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਵਸਨੀਕ 36 ਸਾਲਾ ਟਿਫਨੀ ਡੈਫੈਲ, ਜੋ ਟਰੈਵਰਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ 25 ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਾਲਮਾਰਟ ਦੀ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹਫੜਾ-ਦਫੜੀ ਦੇਖੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਡਰਾਉਣੀ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਗਏ ਸੀ।”
ਮੁਨਸਨ ਹੈਲਥਕੇਅਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਮਿਸ਼ੀਗਨ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ 11 ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰਜਮਾਨ ਮੈਗਨ ਬਰਾਊਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਚਾਕੂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸ਼ਨਿਚਰਵਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਛੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੀ। ਮਿਸ਼ੀਗਨ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੈਰਿਫ ਸ਼ੀਆ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਮਿਸ਼ੀਗਨ ਦਾ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

A shocking knife attack took place at a Walmart store in Traverse City, Michigan, on Saturday, leaving 11 people injured. Six of the victims are in critical condition. Local authorities have confirmed that the suspect in this knife attack has been arrested and is in custody.
Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea informed the media that at least 11 people were injured in this Walmart store incident. Tiffany Dafael, a 36-year-old resident of Honor, located about 25 miles from Traverse City, witnessed the chaos in the Walmart parking lot. She said, “This incident was truly terrifying. My sister and I were very scared.”
Munson Healthcare, a hospital in northern Michigan, shared on social media that it is treating the 11 injured individuals from the knife attack. Hospital spokesperson Megan Brown confirmed that all victims sustained injuries from stab wounds. As of late Saturday night, six victims were in critical condition, while five were in serious condition. The Michigan State Police confirmed that the suspect has been arrested. Sheriff Shea noted that the suspect is likely a Michigan resident, but no further details about their identity were disclosed.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressed sympathy for the victims of this knife attack. Walmart issued a statement saying it is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies in the sheriff investigation. The statement added, “We do not condone such violence. Our sympathies are with the injured, and we are grateful to the first responders for their swift action.”
