ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਬੋਰਡ (ਪੀਸੀਬੀ) ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਕੌਂਸਲ (ਏਸੀਸੀ) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੋਹਸਿਨ ਨਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਵੰਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਦੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਨਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜੀਬ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਵੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਏਸੀਸੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਨਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਐਕਸ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਟਵਿੱਟਰ) ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਦੇ ਮੰਗਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੈਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਝੂਠੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਪੈਗੰਡਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਘੁਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਖੇਡ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਨਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।

ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੁਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ 2025 ਦੇ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਨਕਵੀ ਤੋਂ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰੈਜ਼ੰਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਮਾਗਮ 90 ਮਿੰਟ ਦੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਨਕਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗਿਣਾਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਕਵੀ ਪੀਸੀਬੀ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਇੰਟਰਮੀਡੀਟਸ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਤੋਂ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਨਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਸੂਰਿਆਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਅਨਸਪੋਰਟਸਮੈਨਲਾਈਕ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi today completely denied claims of apologizing to the BCCI in the trophy distribution controversy after the Asia Cup final. It is noteworthy that in the Asia Cup 2025 final held in Dubai, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets to win the trophy, but the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi. Due to this, the post-match presentation ceremony started 90 minutes late. The Indian team cited political reasons for refusing Naqvi, as he is the PCB Chairman and Pakistan's Interior Minister. India had also requested to receive the trophy from the Emirates Cricket Board's Vice Chairman, but Naqvi rejected this and took the trophy away from the stadium itself.
