ਲੱਖੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ, ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੋਡ ਜਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ
ਲੱਖੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਰਾਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਰਣਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੈਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਗੁਆਉਣੀ ਪਈ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ-ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਰੋਡ ਜਾਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਧਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਚਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਨਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।
ਹਲਕਾ ਗੁਰੂਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਲੱਖੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਕਾਰਨ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਰਣਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਚਿੱਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੈਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੁਖਤਿਆਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਲੱਖੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਰਾਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਹ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਵੱਧ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਲੈ ਲਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰੇਆਮ ਵਿਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਚਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਗੁਰੂਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਆਏ ਦਿਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਕ ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ-ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਰੋਡ ਜਾਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਨਾ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਸਮਗਲਰਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਤਬਾਹੀਆਂ ਵਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਐੱਸਪੀ ਡੀ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਓ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਣਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਡੋਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਠੋਸ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਧਰਨਾ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਹੁਣ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕ੍ਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਗਲਰਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਤਬਾਹੀਆਂ ਨਾ ਵਾਪਰਨ। ਗੁਰੂਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।

The deceased have been identified as Randeep Singh son of Sukhdev Singh, Ramandeep Singh son of Bachittar Singh, and Umeed Singh son of Mukhtiar Singh, all residents of Lakho Ke Bahram. According to information, these youths had been addicted to drugs for a long time and last night they consumed an excessive amount of drugs, leading to overdose and their deaths. Villagers said that in addition to these three, yesterday also a youth Sandeep Singh son of Veer Singh died due to drug overdose; he was the father of a two-year-old girl. Villagers have accused that drugs are being sold openly at open medical stores in the village. They have demanded that medical stores selling drugs be shut down and strict action be taken to prevent incidents like drug overdose. The drug problem in the Gurdahahaye constituency is increasing, and youths are dying every day.
After this incident, the family members of the deceased and villagers gathered and blocked the Ferozepur-Fazilka road by placing the bodies of the three youths on the street and staged a sit-in protest. They raised slogans against the Punjab police and administration. People said that drugs are being sold on a large scale in the Gurdahahaye constituency, due to which youths are dying, but the police and administration are turning a blind eye and sleeping like Kumbhakarna, with no action being taken against drug smugglers. This has led to more tragedies like drug overdose, and fear has gripped the villages. On this occasion, police officer SP D Manjeet Singh arrived and talked to the family members, saying that action will be taken against medical stores only if statements are recorded. After the police assured to take necessary action and concrete steps to prevent drug overdose, the protest was finally called off. The villagers and families hope that the police will now act strictly against drug sellers and smugglers so that such tragedies do not happen again. There is a need for more awareness and police action to end the drug problem in the Gurdahahaye constituency.
