ਬੁੱਢੇ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਡੇਅਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਗੰਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ
ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਦਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਝਟਕਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਡੇਅਰੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੰਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਵਰੇਜ ਟ੍ਰੀਟਮੈਂਟ ਪਲਾਂਟਾਂ (CETP) ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਹੈਬੋਵਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਜਪੁਰ ਰੋਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਡੇਅਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੋਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸ਼ਿਤ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਹਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਲਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
