ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਦੀ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ: 'ਜੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਤੱਕ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਹਮਲਾ'
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇੱਕ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਵਿਵਾਦਪੂਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ 'ਗਲਤੀ' ਜਾਂ ਫੌਜੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਫੌਜ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਤੱਕ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਤਣਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਆਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਕੜਵਾਹਟ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ, ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੂਟਨੀਤਕ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਤੱਕ ਹੈ।
ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਅਖੰਡਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਸਿਰਫ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।"
ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੈਰ-ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰਾਨਾ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਕਸਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ 'ਖਾਲੀ ਧਮਕੀ' ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੈ।
Pakistan's Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, has once again sparked controversy with his rhetoric. Amidst the ongoing bitterness in India-Pakistan relations, Asif made a statement deemed highly serious in diplomatic circles. The Pakistani Defense Minister claimed that their missiles and military strength have the reach to hit India's eastern regions, specifically Kolkata.
Khawaja Asif asserted that Pakistan could go to any lengths to protect its territorial integrity. Warning India, he said, "If India attempts to violate Pakistan’s borders or makes any mistake in the future, our response will not be limited to the border. We will not hesitate to target distant cities like Kolkata."
This is not the first time the Pakistani leadership has used such irresponsible language. Experts believe that Pakistan often issues such provocative statements to distract the public from its internal economic and political instability. Conversely, Indian defense experts have dismissed this as an "empty threat," noting that India’s defense systems and retaliatory capabilities are far superior to Pakistan's.
