ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਫੀਸ ਦਾ ਬੋਝ ਨਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ: ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ
ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ (SGPC) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਥਿਤ ਗੁਰਧਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਫੀਸ (Entry Fee) ਦਾ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਝ ਹੇਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਬਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਫੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਗੁਰਧਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ (ਐਸ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ.ਸੀ.) ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਉਠਾਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਸੂਲੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਫੀਸ ਨੂੰ 'ਗੈਰ-ਵਾਜਬ' ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਗਤ 'ਤੇ 20 ਡਾਲਰ (ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਤੈਅਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਫੀਸ) ਦਾ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਬੋਝ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਧਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੀ ਤਮੰਨਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਫੀਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਸ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਡਿਪਲੋਮੈਟਿਕ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਫੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਥੇ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਦਿਹਾੜਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਸਤਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has raised a crucial voice for Sikh pilgrims traveling to Pakistan for the darshan of major religious sites. SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami issued a statement terming the entry fee collected by the Pakistan government from pilgrims as 'unjustified.'
Dhami stated that imposing a financial burden of $20 (or other designated entry fees) on the congregation traveling to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib and other historic sites is an obstacle in the path of faith. According to him, many pilgrims are economically disadvantaged yet hold a deep desire to visit the shrines of their ancestors. Such a fee hurts their sentiments.
Advocate Dhami also urged the Government of India to intervene in this matter. He emphasized that the Central Government should engage with the Pakistani authorities at a diplomatic level to have this fee completely abolished. Dhami stressed that religious pilgrimages should not be viewed through a commercial lens; instead, they should symbolize mutual brotherhood and peace between the two nations.
The SGPC President's statement comes at a time when large groups (jathas) are preparing to travel to Pakistan for Vaisakhi and other religious occasions. For a long time, devotees have been demanding that the process for pilgrimage be made simpler and more affordable.
