Welcome to another high-octane Friday on Radio Haanji 1674 AM! Today’s episode of Laughter Therapy was nothing short of a celebration, as our hosts Yashpreet (Yash) and Ranjodh Singh opened the studio doors to the future stars of our community—the kids!
Laughter is the ultimate stress-buster, and today, we traded the worries of the week for the pure, unadulterated joy of children sharing jokes, songs, and traditional Punjabi folk couplets.
The Stars of the Show: Kids’ Performances
The energy shifted the moment Mannat and Fateh took the mic. They kicked off the segment with a discussion on traditional "boliyan." Mannat had everyone in the studio (and at home!) laughing with her playful song about dancing all night because she got "new knees" (Good-ne)!
Traditional Vibes and Witty Jokes
Tavneet brought her A-game with a humorous take on the classic sibling rivalry, followed by a witty "boli" that compared a brother-in-law (Jija) to a "Kadu" (pumpkin) and a "Motichoor Laddoo."
Yuvaraj kept the momentum going with a classic teacher-student joke about tenses, reminding us all that while the past and future change, a "slap" from a teacher is a timeless constant!
Music, Folk, and Heritage
The trio of Tegh, Amber, and Ashleen filled the airwaves with melodies. They performed the folk-inspired hit:
"ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗਿੱਧੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਚਣਾ ਸਿਖਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਆਂ"
The youngest of the group, Amber, absolutely charmed the listeners with a sweet rendition of the beloved children’s classic, "Nani Teri Morni Ko Mor Le Gaye."
Special Celebrations: Mother’s Day & Birthdays
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Yash and Ranjodh shared a heartwarming moment wishing all mothers a very Happy Mother's Day. The children joined in, sharing their excitement about making cards and picking out gifts for their moms.
