ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ 'ਚ ਬਣੇਗੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਨਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ 350ਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ 'ਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਆਲਮੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ (ਰੂਪਨਗਰ) – ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ 350ਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਕ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ, ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਉੱਚ-ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਖੋਜ, ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਧਰਮੀ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਲਮੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਐਲਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਤਾ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਰੀਟੇਜ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਈ-ਰਿਕਸ਼ਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਿੰਨੀ ਬੱਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
Sri Anandpur Sahib (Rupnagar) – Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today made a major announcement regarding the establishment of a World Class University in Sri Anandpur Sahib. This university will be named after the Ninth Sikh Guru Sri Tegh Bahadur Ji. Chief Minister Mann made this announcement during the concluding ceremony of the state-level event dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The Chief Minister stated that this World Class University is part of the government's commitment to develop Sri Anandpur Sahib not just as a spiritual capital but also as a center of Education and global learning. He explained that the university will serve as a vital center for conducting extensive Research on the life, philosophy, and supreme sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The aim is to inspire coming generations with his teachings.
Mann also said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji sacrificed his life for the defense of freedom of faith and the right to belief, and establishing this World Class University in his name is the greatest tribute to him. He mentioned that the university will become a global hub for high-quality Education, Research, and interfaith dialogue.
A day before this announcement, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha had passed a resolution declaring Sri Anandpur Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, and the walled city of Amritsar as Holy Cities. Chief Minister Mann also informed that a Heritage Streetwill be developed in Sri Anandpur Sahib, and free e-rickshaw or mini-bus services will be launched for devotees to visit the gurdwaras. The Punjab Government is dedicated to these developmental initiatives.
