ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਜੱਸੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ 46 ਸਾਲਾ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੜਕ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਗ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਜੱਸੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਤਮ ਪਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਦੇ ਉਘੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਸੜਾਂ (46) ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸੜਕ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਰੀਬ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਉਹ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ 'ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੇ ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈ ਲਈ।
ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਰੀਬੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਬੇਟੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਭਰੇ ਪਲ ਬਿਤਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ 13 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਖਰੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸੰਦੀਪ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਹਾੜ ਟੁੱਟ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲਣਸਾਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਝੰਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
