ਭਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਤਣਾਅ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤਿਆਰ, ਪਰ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ: ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਤਣਾਅ ਘਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵੀ ਤਣਾਅ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ "ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਦੂਰ" ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ-ਅਧੀਨ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਈ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮੁਦਾਇ ਨੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਯਮ ਬਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖ਼ਵਾਜਾ ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਤਣਾਅ ਘਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵੀ ਤਣਾਅ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ-ਅਧੀਨ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਫੌਜੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਘੰਟੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਆਸਿਫ਼ ਨੇ ਬਲੂਮਬਰਗ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਅਸੀਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਪੰਦਰਵਾੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵੈਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ। ਜੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਤਣਾਅ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।"
ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ "ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਦੂਰ" ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ-ਅਧੀਨ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਂ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਹਮਲੇ 22 ਅਪਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਗਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 26 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 31 ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਬਾਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰੀਫ਼ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ "ਕਾਇਰਾਨਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ" ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਭੁਗਤਣੇ ਪੈਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਜਿੱਠਣਾ ਹੈ।"
ਇਸ ਤਣਾਅ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮੁਦਾਇ ਨੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਯਮ ਬਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ, ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਚੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਕੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਣਾਅ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated on Wednesday that Pakistan is ready to de-escalate tensions with India if New Delhi takes the initiative to reduce hostilities. His remarks came shortly after India's military strikes on terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, conducted in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 Indian tourists.
Speaking to Bloomberg Television, Asif emphasized, "We have been saying all along in the last fortnight that we'll never initiate anything hostile towards India. But if we're attacked, we'll respond. If India backs down, we will definitely wrap up this tension."
India's Operation Sindoor targeted nine sites, including locations in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Muzaffarabad, which it described as terrorist infrastructure linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Pakistan condemned the strikes as attacks on civilian areas, reporting 31 civilian deaths, including children. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif labeled the Indian strikes as cowardly acts of war and vowed consequences.
The international community, including the United Nations, the United States, China, and the United Kingdom, has urged both nations to exercise restraint and engage in diplomatic dialogue to prevent further escalation.
