The direct conflict involving the US, Iran, and Israel has severely disrupted global supply chains. In such delicate circumstances, a piece of major relief for India has surfaced. Two large cargo ships laden with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are moving safely through this region toward the Indian coast.
Both ships are expected to reach Indian ports shortly. According to experts, had this supply been interrupted, India could have faced a sharp spike in LPG prices and a potential shortage. Since India imports a significant portion of its energy requirements from the Gulf countries, the openness of the Strait of Hormuz and the safe passage of vessels are vital for the Indian economy.
The Indian government and oil companies are constantly monitoring the situation. The Indian Navy also remains vigilant in the region to ensure the security of commercial vessels. It is believed that the arrival of these ships will maintain the availability of LPG in the domestic market and help avert, to some extent, the crisis caused by the war.
