The holy Dussehra celebration saw many well-known individuals, including State and federal ministers and MPs from major parties. Additionally, they thanked the temple's President, Kulwant Joshi, and Vice President, Gary Verma, for sharing the importance about dasara festival through the event. 

To the celebration, the visitors and many people over the Internet praised the committee for their hardcore efforts to keep the Indian culture. Additionally, they praised the volunteers for allowing the cultural traditions and stories to be passed away from generations and across the community. 

The following are the  events in Sri Durga Temple Deanside Melbourne celebrating Dussehra. The Navratri celebration began from 3rd October to 11th October 2024.

● Stage Program: From 11 am to 6 pm, including Cultural Program and Kids Dance from 11 am to 2 pm.
● Ram Leela: From 2 pm to 5 pm
● Bhajan Kirtan: From 5 pm to 7 pm

Interestingly, the Ravan Dahan and fireworks occurred after the sunset to celebrate the dussehra significance. 

Sri Durga Temple Deanside History

As per the sources, the temple's land was bought in 1998, followed by the inauguration of the new temple building in November 2015. The temple is dedicated to the worship of the Goddess Durga and other deities.
