ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ: 1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ‘ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਂ-ਧੀ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ’, ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਹੋਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ 1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2026 ਤੋਂ ‘ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਂ-ਧੀ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ’ (Chief Minister’s Mother-Daughter Respect Scheme) ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਦਦ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ‘ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਂ-ਧੀ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ’ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ 1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਬੱਚੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਨੁਪਾਤ (Sex Ratio) ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਝ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਈ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੈਂਕ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸਫਰ (DBT) ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੁੰਜਾਇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਣੇਪੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਜੰਮੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ।
The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has set a new milestone for the welfare of women and girl children. During a cabinet meeting held in Chandigarh, the ‘Chief Minister’s Mother-Daughter Respect Scheme’ was officially approved. The scheme will be implemented across the state starting April 1.
Under this initiative, the government will focus specifically on families blessed with a girl child. According to the cabinet decision, financial assistance will be provided to newborn girls and their mothers following the launch of the scheme. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that this step will be instrumental in improving the sex ratio in the state and changing the mindset that views daughters as a burden.
According to sources, the financial aid under this scheme will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts (DBT) to eliminate any scope for corruption. Additionally, the cabinet has directed the Health Department to ensure extra facilities for the care of mothers and newborns during deliveries in government hospitals.
