ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਐੱਮਪੀ ਖਗੇਨ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਘੋਸ਼ ਭੀੜ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ
ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਲਪਾਈਗੁੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਾਗਰਾਕਾਟਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਐੱਮਪੀ ਖਗੇਨ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਘੋਸ਼ ਤੇ ਭੀੜ ਨੇ ਪਥਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਮਤਾ ਬੈਨਰਜੀ 'ਤੇ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਜਦਕਿ ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲਪਾਈਗੁੜੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਗਰਾਕਾਟਾ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਢਿੱਗਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਦੁਆਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਖਗੇਨ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਘੋਸ਼ ਭੀੜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ 6 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹਤ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਭੀੜ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ 'ਦੀਦੀ ਦੀਦੀ' ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਥਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਡੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਖਗੇਨ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਨ ਵਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਘੋਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵੀ ਪھਟ ਗਏ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਹਮਲੇ ਲਈ ਹਾਕਮ ਧਿਰ ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ 'ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਰਾਹਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਦਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਬੈਨਰਜੀ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰਨੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਚ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਖਿੱਚਵਾਉਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਖਗੇਨ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਘੋਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਲੀਗੁੜੀ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਐੱਮਸੀ 'ਤੇ ਵਾਇਲੈਂਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਕਸਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਢਿੱਗਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਈ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਬੇਘਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
In West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh were injured in a mob attack during their visit to the flood and landslide-affected Dooars region in Nagrakata area. The incident occurred on October 6, 2025, when they went to assess the disaster-hit areas and distribute relief materials. The mob surrounded them, chanted 'Didi Didi' slogans, and attacked with stones and sticks, breaking the vehicle's windows and causing Khagen Murmu's head to bleed profusely. Shankar Ghosh sustained minor injuries and his clothes were torn. The BJP blamed the ruling TMC for the attack, calling it an example of TMC's jungle raj as they were engaged in flood relief work while Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was dancing at a carnival in Kolkata. TMC linked it to public anger over BJP leaders taking photos and stated it does not support aggression. Police arrived after the incident and rushed them to the hospital, where Khagen Murmu received treatment for serious head injuries, and Shankar Ghosh was taken to a private hospital in Siliguri. The BJP held protest marches in Kolkata, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the mob attack, accusing TMC of inciting violence instead of focusing on relief. This attack is connected to the unrest caused by floods and landslides in North Bengal, where several lives were lost and thousands were left homeless.
