ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ 'ਚ ਬਰਫ਼ਬਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਰ: ਮੁਗਲ ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਥਨ ਟਾਪ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਰਸਤੇ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ
ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਚਾਈ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਬਰਫ਼ਬਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁਗਲ ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਥਨ ਟਾਪ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੀਰ ਕੀ ਗਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਬਰਫ਼ ਜੰਮਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਫਿਸਲਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀਨਗਰ-ਜੰਮੂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਮਾਰਗ (NH-44) ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ
ਨਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਸਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਜ ਬਦਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰੀ ਬਰਫ਼ਬਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਘਾਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮੂ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਮੁਗਲ ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਥਨ ਟਾਪ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੀਰ ਕੀ ਗਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਈ ਇੰਚ ਬਰਫ਼ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੱਲਣਾ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ (MeT) ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 24 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼, ਸੋਨਮਰਗ, ਜੋਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਪਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਮਰਗ ਸਮੇਤ ਉੱਚਾਈ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 2 ਤੋਂ 12 ਇੰਚ ਤੱਕ ਬਰਫ਼ਬਾਰੀ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਨਗਰ-ਸੋਨਮਰਗ-ਗੁਮਰੀ ਰੋਡ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਬਰਫ਼ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਬੰਦ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਬਰਫ਼ਬਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਜੰਮੂ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਲਕੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਨੇ ਠੰਢ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਸ੍ਰੀਨਗਰ-ਜੰਮੂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਮਾਰਗ (NH-44) 'ਤੇ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਮੌਸਮ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
With the onset of the New Year, the weather in the mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a turn. Due to heavy snowfall, the historic Mughal Road and the Sinthan Top route, which connect the Kashmir Valley with the Jammu division, have been temporarily closed. According to officials, several inches of snow have accumulated at Peer Ki Gali, making vehicular movement hazardous.
The Meteorological Department (MeT) reported that fresh snowfall ranging from 2 to 12 inches was recorded over the past 24 hours in high-altitude areas including Gurez, Sonamarg, Zojila Pass, and Gulmarg. This has also impacted the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road. Traffic police clarified that movement will remain suspended until snow clearance operations are completed and the roads are deemed safe.
While the mountains are experiencing snowfall, light rain in the plains of the Jammu division has intensified the cold wave. However, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) remains open, though the administration has urged commuters to travel during the day and avoid night travel. These weather-induced challenges have touched the shared lifestyle of locals and tourists alike, yet there remains a strong sense of excitement among visitors to witness this natural spectacle.
