ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਚਟਗਾਂਵ 'ਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਣਮਿੱਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ: ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਣੇ ਕਾਰਨ
ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਚਟਗਾਂਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਂਟਰ (IVAC) ਨੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਣਮਿੱਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਚਟਗਾਂਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਰੀ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਬੰਦ ਰਹੇਗਾ
ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ, ਚਟਗਾਂਵ ਸਥਿਤ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਂਟਰ (IVAC) ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਅਣਮਿੱਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗੜ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਡਿਪਲੋਮੈਟਿਕ ਮਿਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ "ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ" ਕਰਕੇ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਲੈਣੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਸੇਜ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਚਟਗਾਂਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹਾਈ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋਈ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਭੀੜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੁਣ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਜ, ਵਪਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਰ-ਸਪਾਟੇ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਜਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
Amid the ongoing political and social unrest in Bangladesh, the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) in Chittagonghas announced an indefinite suspension of its operations. This move has been taken in view of the deteriorating security situation in the region and the continuous protests outside Indian diplomatic missions.
An official message issued by the visa center stated that visa services will remain suspended until further notice due to "unforeseen security circumstances." Individuals who have already applied or those awaiting the collection of their passports will be notified about new dates via text messages.
It is noteworthy that anti-India protests have intensified in various parts of Bangladesh over the past few days. The violence and sloganeering by crowds near the Indian Assistant High Commission in Chittagong have raised significant concerns among Indian officials. India’s Ministry of External Affairs had previously urged the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety and security of Indian personnel and premises. Due to this suspension, local residents will now face major hurdles in traveling to India for medical treatment, business, and tourism.
