ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ: ਇਰਾਨੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਟੂਰਿਸਟ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾਈ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ
ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧਦੇ ਜੰਗੀ ਤਣਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਰਾਨੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਟੂਰਿਸਟ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ 'ਤੇ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਇਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਜੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੌਮੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਰਾਨੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ (Tourist Visa) ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਅਗਲੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਇਰਾਨੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਧਾਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਲਈ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਇਸ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਦਮ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਜ਼ਰਾਈਲ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਜੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਖੁਫ਼ੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਖ਼ਦਸ਼ਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਜੋਖਮ ਵਧ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਇਰਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਨੀਤੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਰਾਨੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੀਜ਼ੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ, ਪਰ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਰਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
In a major shift in its national security and foreign policy, Australia has suspended tourist visa services for Iranian citizens. According to the latest guidelines issued by the Australian Department of Home Affairs, no visas for tourism purposes will be granted to Iranian passport holders until further notice.
The primary reason behind this stringent step is the ongoing intense war between Iran and Israel. Australian intelligence agencies have expressed concerns that security risks could escalate under current circumstances. Furthermore, threats issued by Iran against the US and Western nations have compelled Australia to tighten its visa policies.
While no restrictions have been placed on Iranian citizens already present in Australia or those holding other visa categories for now, new applications have been halted with immediate effect. The Australian government has also advised its own citizens not to travel to Iran.
