ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਰਹੇ ਸੜਕੀ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਉਲੀਕੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੰਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸਾਲ 2023 'ਚ ਸੜਕੀ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ 1266 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਕੌਮੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ 2030 ਤੱਕ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 50 ਫੀਸਦ ਤੱਕ ਘੱਟ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੈ
