ਬਾਬਾ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ, ਭਾਈ ਮਨੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਸਨ| ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ| ਆਪ ਨੇ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੰਗੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅੰਤ 1757 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਗਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ।
