ਟਰੂਡੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਡੇਗਣ ਲਈ ਅਖੀਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਾਕਾਮ

ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਘੱਟਗਿਣਤੀ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਆਗੂ ਪੀਅਰ ਪੋਲੀਵਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਆਖਰੀ ਬੇਭਰੋਸਗੀ ਮਤਾ ਵੀ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਿਹਾ। ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਸੰਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਭਰੋਸਗੀ ਮਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਦਾਅ ਠੁੱਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਪੋਲੀਵਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਤਾ ਇਸ ਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀ ਆਗੂ ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਜੀਐੱਸਟੀ ਛੋਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਧਾਰੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਹਤ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦਬਾਅ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਸਿਆਸੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੋਲੀਵਰ ਨੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ, ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਖੀਰੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਵੀ ਗੁਆ ਬੈਠੇ। ਅਰਥਚਾਰਿਕ ਮੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਮਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਟਰੂਡੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਬਾਅ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੀ।

The minority Trudeau government in Canada faced another no-confidence motion presented by Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, which also failed. Earlier, the Conservative Party had tabled two similar motions, but due to a lack of support from other parties, these attempts were unsuccessful. Poilievre introduced this motion with the hope that NDP leader Jagmeet Singh's dissatisfaction with the government over demands such as GST exemptions and pension-based relief payments for seniors might work in his favor.

Political analysts believe that Poilievre attempted to leverage Singh's grievances but failed to secure support from other parties, thereby losing his last opportunity. Amid the ongoing economic recession in Canada, no other party is willing to risk elections. Supporting parties have pressured Trudeau's government to fulfill the demands of their voter base, but the government has managed to remain intact once again.
