Search for thief who took up to 260 bottles of wine, left nappies in their place
Police are looking for thieves who broke into a car park and stole more than 250 bottles of wine, power tools and snowboarding equipment.
Detectives said the Yarraville apartment building on Gamon Street was broken into about 5am on August 5 and the offenders are believed to have gained access to storage cages.
Once inside, they took a box trailer, power tools, surfboards, snowboarding equipment and up to 260 bottles of wine.
A restaurant owner said although all his wine was taken, the offenders left two packets of nappies in the cage, 3AW reported.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
They have released CCTV stills of a man they believe may be able to help with inquiries.
