A mother has been charged after allegedly leaving her baby boy in a hot car for hours in Melbourne’s south-west.
Police were called to a hotel on Sneydes Road about 3.15pm on Wednesday to reports the 14-month-old had been left in the vehicle.
The baby had allegedly been left in the car for up to five hours by his mother as temperatures reached 33 degrees outside.
A 32-year-old woman has been charged with negligently causing serious injury and reckless conduct endangering life.
She was bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on January 23.
