A pregnant woman whose car was shot to pieces while parked in a Melbourne street overnight said she has no idea why should would have been targeted.
Britney Sampieri, 19, discovered four bullets had been fired into her Hyundai while parked in Clifton Grove, Lalor, shattering the sunroof and hitting the back window and side doors.
Police believe the shooting happened around midnight and are checking CCTV footage.
No-one was injured.
“It was a very violent act in a residential street. I’m worried for everyone’s safety if people will behave in this way,” Victoria Police Senior Constable Matthew Miller said.

Ms Sampieri said she had no idea why her car would be targeted.
“I have a child on the way and that’s my new car for my child and now I have to go through getting a new one again,” she said.
