A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed at a convenience store on NSW’s Central Coast.
Emergency services raced to a store on Warner Avenue at Wyong just before 9.30am following reports a man had been stabbed.
At least three ambulance crews and a CareFlight helicopter were deployed to the scene to treat the man in his 40s who is in a critical condition.
Following initial inquiries, police were told that at least two people entered the store and an altercation ensued.
During the altercation, the injured man sustained multiple stab wounds.
The pair who entered the store fled the scene on foot and were last seen heading east on Warner Avenue.
Police from Tuggerah Lakes Police District have established a crime scene.
