A 41-year-old man who was hanging from the side of a car has been killed after colliding with another vehicle in Geelong.
The Volkswagen and Kia crashed in Bell Park last night shortly after 6pm. The man, who was hanging onto the side of the Kia, was flung from the vehicle.
He died at the scene.
The 20-year-old driver of the Kia allegedly ran away from the crash but was arrested a short time after by local police.
The woman driving the Volkswagen was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who saw a black Kia Sorrento travelling between Hamlyn Heights and Bells Park with a man hanging onto the side of the car.
