A man and woman have been charged with drug trafficking offences after they were found unconscious in a car south-west of Melbourne.
Police were called to do a welfare check after the man and woman were found by a member of the public, passed out in a silver Commodore with the engine running, on Ranfurlie Avenue, Point Cook just after 6am yesterday.
Police searched the car and allegedly found 33 grams of methamphetamine, 233 grams of GHB, 1.7 grams of ecstasy, as well as stolen items and cash.
The man and woman were arrested and taken into custody while investigators also executed a search warrant at the man’s Point Cook home.
More ecstasy and methamphetamines were allegedly found at the 23-year-old’s home and he was charged with trafficking drugs, drug possession, offending while on bail and driving while disqualified.
The 22-year-old woman from South Kingsville was also charged with trafficking drugs, drug possession and handling of stolen goods.
Both were denied bail and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
