A group of teenagers trying to steal to steal devices from a telco store has resulted in an 81-year-old woman being taken to hospital, seriously injured.
The incident took place in Casula, in Sydney’s south-west.
CCTV shows up to 15 young boys walk into the Optus store in the centre and surround the phone and tablet display.
They are confronted by store workers – and do a runner for the centre’s main door.
Confused shoppers stop to watch the group running out of the centre.
But one gang member is left behind, caught in an altercation with a staff member.
The boy eventually flees as well, colliding with an 81-year-old woman who fell to the ground.
