Samurai swords, pistol-grip crossbows, sawn-off shotguns and various drugs have been seized, and eight people have been arrested, as Melbourne police investigate a series of aggravated burglaries.

It’s alleged six men and two women were at a Noble Park address at 5.30am on Tuesday when detectives executed a search warrant.

The warrant was part of Operation Tasma, which was investigating several aggravated burglaries in the area in the past six weeks.

Officers allegedly found an amount of ice and heroin, and various prohibited weapons, including samurai swords, pistol-grip crossbows, several double-edged knives, and three sawn-off shotguns.

Three men, all aged 35, have been charged with various drug and firearm offences and have been remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
