Seized drugs and cash
A coordinated operation across crime-fighting agencies has seized a whopping 766kg of MDMA with a potential street value of almost $90 million.

Queensland Police said they led the major multi-agency investigation into an international organised crime syndicate linked to the distribution of large quantities of high purity drugs.

Detective Superintendent Jon Wacker is expected to present the operation’s results to the public on Wednesday.

Australian Federal Police recently estimated that 496kg of MDMA had a potential street value of more than $57 million – or $115,000 per kilo.

On that measure, the 766kg would be valued more than $88 million.
